A wonderful story about how a family reacts when a storm causes their electricity to go out. Instead of thinking about all the things they can't do they get creative. A comforting book for children and great ideas for parents to consider next time their home loses electricity.
This is a well written story of a little girl who is preparing for a family trip on Thanksgiving eve, when the power goes out in a snowstorm. As the girl worries that her family won't be able to prepare for the trip, her mother redirects her attention to praying for the electric workers who are out in the storm.
This is a quiet and reassuring story that would be enjoyable for young children toddler to preschool age.
